IRIS Tab Audio Bridge — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-25

IRIS Tab Audio Bridge is a companion browser extension for the IRIS app on Even Realities G2 smart glasses. During an online call or video played in a browser tab, it transcribes that tab's audio so the words appear in your live IRIS session as the "Remote" speaker.

What it accesses

Only after you click Start, and only for the single tab you chose, the extension captures that tab's audio. Capture ends the moment you click Stop or close the tab. The extension never accesses your microphone, camera, other tabs, page content, files, or browsing history.

How the audio is used

The captured audio is streamed over an encrypted connection to the IRIS service, where it is converted to text in real time by our speech-recognition provider (Soniox). It is used for that one purpose only.

Retention

Nothing is sold or shared with third parties beyond the speech-recognition processing described above, and there is no advertising or third-party analytics in the extension.

Your responsibility on calls

Depending on where you live, recording or transcribing a conversation may require the other participants' consent. You are responsible for using the bridge in line with your local laws and meeting etiquette.
